Lagos State Voluntary Local Review

The Voluntary Local Review (VLR) is a globally recognized process through which sub-national governments assess and report on their progress toward the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs.
The VLR strengthens policies and institutions, mobilizes multi-stakeholder support, facilitates the sharing of experiences including successes, challenges, and lessons learned and accelerates progress toward achieving the SDGs.
The VLR documents the implementation of the SDGs not only by the State Government but also by Local Governments and key stakeholders such as NGOs, CSOs, academia, the private sector, and development partners. It provides a strategic foundation for mapping future plans and creating a clear, data-driven roadmap to advance sustainable development in Lagos State.
